Why this course is important:
Bank leaders are responsible for managing the safety and soundness of the bank while generating a financial return for stockholders. To do this, you need to understand how the balance sheet functions and how it flows through the income statement. Most importantly, you must know how to implement change to take advantage of opportunities and address asset quality and operational problems.
Driving Financial Performance explains the principles of analyzing a bank’s performance and financial condition. Utilizing the Uniform Bank Performance Report, students will be able to develop a risk profile of a financial institution; evaluate funds management practices; identify and quantify significant changes in a bank’s net interest margin; identify credit, market, liquidity, operational, legal & reputation risks. With this knowledge, participants will be able to drive financial performance.
