Why this course is important:
A strong organizational culture is the foundation for achieving strategic goals and long-term success. Today’s top leaders and managers must understand how culture impacts performance, employee engagement and talent retention. By aligning culture with a strategic plan, banks can foster a high-performing environment that attracts and retains top talent while driving desired business outcomes. This course provides actionable strategies to help leaders analyze, shape and sustain a culture that supports their bank’s mission and future growth.
In this five-day course, we will start with the basics and expand into the more complex drivers of various culture types. Open discussion will allow students to share experience and provide feedback throughout the week. We’ll incorporate topics learned in first year, such as DISC results. In preparation for the intersession project, students will complete a self-assessment and work in groups to test their understanding of analyzing the results.
Key takeaways of this course:
- Understand your organization’s existing culture and how it affects overall performance.
- Discover if employees are operating in the “Positive” or “Negative” zone and strategize on ways to shift towards the “Positive”.
- Learn how to change and align your culture across your circle of influence with your strategic plan.
- Realize how culture impacts the company’s ability to attract and retain top talent.
- Discuss the pace of change, your sense of urgency and level of readiness for that inevitable change.
