Steven Gonzalo is president and CEO of American Commercial Bank & Trust, a commercial bank serving the greater Chicagoland area with headquarters in Ottawa, IL.

Steven is a director of the parent company, First Ottawa Bancshares (OTC:FOTB), and American Commercial Bank & Trust. Steven joined the bank, formerly known as The First National Bank of Ottawa, in 2001 as the chief technology officer and has served in his current capacity since 2014.

Steven is a 1989 graduate of Northwestern University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a 2005 graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Steven is an active volunteer and has served as a director of OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center for over 20 years and as chairman for five years during their merger with OSF. Steven has served as a director of the Lasalle County Health Department and The United Way, including campaign chairman, for more than 15 years.

Steven has been married to his wife, Susan, for 25 years and is the proud father of three daughters. Steven is the co-founder of an Ophthalmic Imaging company and spent several years consulting to the acquiring company throughout Europe and Asia. He has held a number of patents and was a contributing software developer on the National Institutes of Health Image Project.
