Tim Karsky, president of Choice Bank North Dakota in Bismark, has been elected chair of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (GSBC) for 2020.
Karsky brings forth experience gained from a long career in banking, including his role as commissioner of the North Dakota Department of Financial Institutions from 2001-2010. He has also served in many leadership capacities in banking, including as chairman and treasurer of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors, instructor at the Dakota School of Banking and member of the FDIC National Advisory Council.
“Tim has been an asset on the GSBC Board of Trustees since 2014 and, with his extensive background in banking and leading financial institutions, his perspectives and guidance will be invaluable in his role as chair,” says GSBC President Tim Koch. “I, along with the rest of the board, am eager to see where GSBC will go under his leadership in the coming year.”
Karsky succeeds Andy Noll, president of First Farmers & Merchants National Bank in Fairmont, MN.
