Lance White, president and chief executive officer of Bank of the Flint Hills in Wamego, Kan., has been named chair elect of GSBC for 2024-2025.

White began his community banking career in 2000 when he returned to his family’s small-town bank in Wamego. Over the past 24 years, he has dedicated himself to the bank and the communities it serves while growing and strengthening his team. A 2005 graduate of GSBC, White has served as a trustee since 2019.

“Lance is one of the most innovative and energetic bankers I have worked with,” said GSBC President and CEO Michael Stevens. “His passion for the industry and deep commitment to his community have made him an impactful leader for GSBC.”

In addition to his role at GSBC, White has been active with the Kansas Bankers Association Board of Directors, the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council and numerous Kansas hospitals as a trustee. Most recently, White was elected to serve as a member director for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka.

White will succeed Sheila Noll, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Pacific Coast Bankers Bank, when he assumes the role of chair in 2025.
