Kevin Erickson, senior vice president and market president of Independent Financial in Longmont, CO, has been elected vice chair of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (GSBC) for 2021-2022.
Erickson, who has been a banker in Boulder County since 2001, is a graduate of the University of North Dakota with a finance degree and has an MBA from the University of Colorado Denver. Erickson has held various board positions with local nonprofits, is a board member of the YMCA of Boulder Valley and is a current board member of the Colorado Bankers Association.
Erickson is a 2005 graduate of GSBC. Upon his graduation, Erickson was on the GSBC Alumni Advisory Board and served as the Alumni Association Chair from 2009-2015. He was appointed a trustee in 2015.
“Kevin has a deep commitment to GSBC as demonstrated by his continued involvement and advocacy since graduation,” notes GSBC President Michael Stevens. “I have observed Kevin’s involvement and leadership in GSBC for many years and I look forward to leveraging this experience as he continues his service as an officer of the board of trustees.”
Erickson will succeed Kim Schroll of NebraskaLand Bank in North Platte, Neb. when he assumes the chairmanship of GSBC for 2022-2023.
