GSBC elected three new community bankers to its board of trustees at its meeting during the school’s 73rd Annual School Session in Boulder, Colo. The new members include Susie Koranda (representing Nebraska), Chip Reeves (representing Iowa) and Niki Stotler (representing Colorado).
Susie Koranda, Laurel, Neb.
Susie Koranda began her banking career with Security Bank as a customer service representative in 1997. She currently serves as executive vice president and is a member of Security Bank’s board of directors.
Koranda is a 2003 honors graduate of GSBC and a 2015 graduate of GSBC’s Executive Development Institute for Community Bankers®. She graduated from the Nebraska Bankers Association (NBA) Leadership Program in 2006. She is still involved with the NBA, serving on its Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association Board of Trustees and their Education Advisory Committee. She has previously served on the NBA Board of Directors and BankPac. On a national level, Susie served on the American Bankers Association BankPac Committee.
Locally, Koranda has served on the Laurel Chamber of Commerce, the St. Mary’s Parish Council and Finance Committee, the Laurel Recreation Board, the Laurel Rescue Squad, the Teammates Board and the Haven House Board of Directors. She was also the head girls’ basketball coach at Laurel-Concord Highschool (now Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Highschool) from 1998 to 2004.
Chip Reeves, Iowa City, Iowa
Chip Reeves has been the chief executive officer of MidWestOne Financial Group, Inc., a $6.5 billion company headquartered in Iowa City, Iowa, since November 2022. MidWestOne has 56 banking offices with operations in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Colorado.
Reeves has 33 years of broad-based banking experience including 22 years at Fifth Third Bank, where he ultimately was president of Fifth Third’s Chicago operations. Prior to joining MidWestOne, he was president of the $3 billion Bank of the Cascades and president /CEO/director of Beach Bancorp based in Florida.
Reeves has served on a multitude of local professional, civic and charitable boards throughout his career. Currently, he serves on the board of directors for the Iowa Bankers Association, the Iowa Association of Business & Industry and Orchestra Iowa, and is a member of the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance.
Niki Stotler, Salida, Colo.
Niki Stotler is the president and CEO of High Country Bank, a community bank headquartered in Salida, Colo. Stotler joined the bank in 2001, starting in the loan department and advancing through various positions. In 2007, she was promoted to vice president of mortgage loans. By January 2022, Niki had become the chief operating officer and Salida market president. In September 2022, she was appointed as president and CEO, overseeing five locations across Colorado.
Stotler received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Northern Iowa in 2001. She is also a 2016 graduate of GSBC and a 2024 graduate of GSBC’s Executive Development Institute for Community Bankers®.

The GSBC Board of Trustees is the governing body of the school and is comprised of community bankers, regulators and advisors representing the school’s strongest supporting states.
