Ron Maxa is vice president at Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Ron also serves as the BSA and security officer for the bank and helps manage facility projects. Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust has eight branch locations in Cedar Rapids and the surrounding area with assets just under $2 billion.
Ron was born in Minnesota and moved several times before settling in Cedar Rapids in high school. Ron graduated from Mount Mercy University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2006 and an MBA in 2011. He is currently enrolled at Mount Mercy working towards a master’s degree in strategic leadership. After graduating from the Iowa School of Banking in 2016, Ron attended the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado, graduating in 2021.
Ron has been heavily involved with local community organizations through his banking career: he has served as a classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement since 2000 and remains an Alumni Advisor for Mount Mercy as well as a volunteer for local nonprofit groups. Ron currently serves on the board of the Iowa/Nebraska JDRF.
Ron has three children, Sydney, Madisen and Hunter, and is an avid sports fan, especially for the Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings. Ron enjoys being outdoors and active and loves to travel.
