Roger Guerin has retired after a career as senior vice president, comptroller and CFO for Partners Bank, a billion dollar community bank headquartered in Sanford, Maine. Partners Bank serves the financial needs with branches in southern Maine and southeastern New Hampshire. Roger was responsible for over 33 years for finance, accounting, investments, asset/liability management, budgeting, cash management, funding, audits, tax management, employee benefits and regulatory reporting. He was chairman of the bank’s ALCO committee and a member of the bank’s senior management committee as well as principal liaison for external audits.
Roger formerly was principal bank examiner for 11 years for the State of Maine Bureau of Financial Institutions. He was a past trustee of the New England School of Financial Studies, Babson College and former chairman of Maine Bankers Association Financial Management Committee. He graduated from the University of Maine with a B.S. in Finance and Accounting. Roger graduated with honors from Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. He has been a Bank Management Simulation faculty member for the last 37 years, former faculty representative for the GSBC Board of Trustees and the 2017 recipient of the James C. Scarboro Memorial Award.
