Fundamentals of Leadership equips participants with the skills to align all employees toward a shared mission, ensuring organizational success through strategic priorities. The DISC assessment fosters self-awareness and self-regulation, essential traits for effective leadership. Enhancing coaching skills leads to a more engaged workforce, while mastering the why and how of confrontation builds trust and respect among teams.

This course aligns with the GSBC’s curriculum philosophy of essentials, leadership and readiness in multiple ways. With nine hours of class time, focusing on leadership fundamentals is crucial. Suzi’s leadership experience highlights the importance of employees consistently understanding and referencing the mission, values, and strategic priorities of their organization. Developing self-awareness through DISC and addressing blind spots is a foundational leadership skill. To enhance leadership readiness, students will explore coaching models and confrontation techniques, adding valuable tools to their leadership toolbox. Mastering deep listening and direct, respectful confrontation fosters strong, successful teams and thriving organizations.
